Beringia Mammoth in Whitehorse

Not only do we get down and dirty when researching parks, trails, lakes, rivers and mountains we also like to visit attractions – it is our way to get our daily dose of culture and history.

Today, we took a trip to the Beringia Museum in Whitehorse. It is a museum documenting the pre-historic times of the region including the ice age.  The museum informed us of the regions past and how it has developed since then.

The highlight of the day was riding the wild mammoth  in the parking lot.

Here I am on the little one – Mama mammoth does not seem impressed.
