Beaver Lake – Winfield

Beaver Lake – Winfield

Moved our base camp from Kamloops to Winfield where there is a wilderness campground at Beaver Lake. It is hard to access and the road is rough but the campground is on a beautiful lake. There are many other lakes in the area also. Some of which are on our OKaccommodations.com Travel Website.

At Beaver Lake we could go for long canoes and fishing trips plus we were close to many other wilderness lakes to explore. It was a little quieter, except on weekends. Oh well.. it is not the noise that bothers us – it is the garbage that is left behind. In this case it was a group of young kids with no respect for the land or themselves.  Too bad as they give all kids a bad name.

At Beaver Lake we were closer to our winter accommodations in the Okanagan Valley. During the winter we like to hunker down at one of our advertisers accommodations.  While we are in winter hibernation we research the winter activities in the area and we work late hours growing tourism through our travel websites on the internet. Also we work with our clients.

Here is a picture of Bro canoeing Beaver Lake and in the corner is our new morning friend – a Blue Heron.
