Horseshoe Lake is Still Base Camp

Still camped out at Horseshoe Lake in Cranbrook BC (a.k.a Cranbrook Island) . The weather has been playing tricks with us. First we had a long spell there for awhile where we enjoyed some scorching heat and then another round of  high winds. There seems to be no middle ground with the weather Gods.  And then we things look up and we are about to pack up and leave the weather turns on us.

Do not get me wrong we are not complaining.  The lake life looks good and feels good. It is peaceful and the mountain scenery is spectacular.  Plus with the travel pods  are always protecting us  from the winds, rains and sun.  Life is good on the range.

We have gotten a ton of work done on our tourism websites, since being here – the BCeh.com Travel Planning Network . We have worked on the travel pods also – painted them up a bit – showed them some loving.

But.. we are itching to hit the road and begin researching Alberta. The only thing holding us back before we begin is the weather. The weather is a little unreliable still.. which is not common for this time of year. We should be baking in the sunshine by now across the country.  Yah.. and they say there is no global warming.  Who are they kidding.

So as we wait to begin our 2009 road trip we will hold tight and wait for the weather to go crazy and get hot. Pictures for travel websites look better  in blue skies and sunshine.

The picture above is of moi and Bro enjoying a break at base camp on Horseshoe Lake.

Our new departure date looks like Wednesday or Thursday. Cross your fingers.

Be well, be active,

Cheers
